Experience gained and confidence build!

Every journey starts with a small step. The Solar20 group has a clear vision of a high tech, low weight, low cost final product. But there is a lot to learn before we are there.

The first prototype is basically for getting used to work with the aluminium reflector and the solar cells. We build the frame in plywood to be able to use to us known techniques for the first attempt.

In cooperation with ALANOD in Germany who supplied reflector and Australian national University who supplied the special Solar Cells that can manage 20 suns intensity.

The prototype has been be tested at Borlänge Solar Centre spring 2003.
